On Sunday, November 21, 2010, Mexico celebrated its 2nd Annual Riviera Maya Food Festival. This article is describing what a great success the festival was and how it greatly exceeded many of the expectations. In the festival, 43 of the Riviera Maya’s most talented chefs, restaurateurs, beverage suppliers, and specialty food merchants get together in the Parque Fundadores to display their dishes. They are shown to the residents and visitors of the Mexican Caribbean city.
Mark DeCarlo, of the Travel Channel, covered the event and brought a lot more attraction and fun to the festival with his reports and presentations on the chefs. Also, The Volunteer Executive Committee made a charitable contribution to the Rotary Club of Playa del Carmen, the beneficiary of this year’s festival. Due to the overwhelming success of this year many have already began preparing for Taste of Playa 2011. J
